Key Responsibilities

• Process Design and Development: Responsible for designing and developing efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. This includes selecting appropriate technologies, equipment, and materials to achieve optimal production.
• Product and Process Optimization: Working to optimize both the product design and the manufacturing process to improve efficiency, reduce production costs, and enhance product quality.
• Quality Assurance: Involvement in implementing quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards. This includes developing and implementing testing procedures and quality assurance protocols.
• Cost Reduction: Focus on finding ways to reduce production costs without compromising product quality. This may involve improving production efficiency, minimizing waste, and optimizing resource utilization.
• Automation and Technology Integration: Integration of new technologies and automation into the production process. This can include the implementation of robotics, computer numerical control (CNC) machines, and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Production Planning: They contribute to production planning by determining the most efficient and effective ways to manufacture products. This involves creating production schedules, optimizing workflow, and ensuring that resources are utilized optimally.
• Continuous Improvement: Involved in continuous improvement initiatives. They analyze data, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in both the product and the manufacturing process.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: They work closely with other departments, including design, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination in the manufacturing process.
• Tool and Fixture Design: Design and develop tools and fixtures that are essential for the manufacturing process. This includes designing jigs, molds, and other equipment to facilitate production.
• Environmental and Safety Compliance: They ensure that manufacturing processes comply with environmental regulations and safety standards. This involves identifying and mitigating potential hazards in the production environment.
• Capacity Planning: Contribute to capacity planning by assessing production capabilities, identifying bottlenecks, and making recommendations for optimizing production capacity.
• Training and Documentation: They are heavily involved in training production personnel and documenting standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in the manufacturing process, and within the company’s Learning Management System.

Computer Skills

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM and simulation software
• Familiarity with process modeling and statistical analysis software
• Experience with Project Management software a plus
